    ProSync is seeking the right candidate to join the team as either a Database Administrator or Database Engineer. Oracle experience is a must.

    Responsibilities

    Title of Position: Senior Database Administrator/Database Engineer Level 3

      

    Description of Position:

    • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of enterprisewide databases and associated applications. 
    • Performs database and software lifecycle activities to ensure the highest level of systems performance and availability, and compliance with business requirements.

    Qualifications

    Clearance Requirement:

    • TS/SCI with Polygraph

    Education and Experience Required:

     

    Job-Specific Requirements:

    • Oracle Performance tuning
    • RMAN expertise
    • Schema design
    • High Availability database expertise

    Senior Database Administrator: 

    • A minimum of 13 years general experience as a Database Administrator.
    • A Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related discipline may be substituted for three (3) years of work experience.  A Masters degree in any of the above disciplines may be substituted for an additional two (2) years of experience.
    • Database Administration experience in the following:
      • Database performance optimization
      • Developing/changing database indices
      • Redesigning database structure and/or reloading data into a database
    • Experience developing non-database program components (desired)
    • Experience with shell scripting (desired)
    • Experience monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance tuning on a database system.
    • Experience projecting long-term requirements for database administration and design
    • Experience with documentation.

    Senior Database Engineer: 

    • A minimum of thirteen (13) years experience in developing applications for and providing life cycle support. 
    • A Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related discipline may be substituted for three (3) years of work experience.  A Masters degree in any of the above disciplines may be substituted for an additional two (2) years of experience.
    • Experience over a wide range of databases, to include but not limited to:
      • DB2
      • BRS
      • Lotus Notes
      • MS Access
      • MS SQL
      • Oracle
      • Sybase
    • Must posses experience in requirements analysis, software development and installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis and resolution.
    • Must have experience with
      • Oracle DBA
      • Sybase,
      • IMPALA,
      • mongoDB,
      • MySQL,
      • HDSF
    • Experience evaluating and recommending available DBMS products to support customer requirements (desired).
    • Experience defining database organization and indexing methods (desired).
    • Experience implementing database security (desired)
    • Experience developing relational and/or Object Oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software.
    • Experience developing and conducting performance measurements.
