  • Overview

    The Threat Analyst will work with collaborative teams to analyze information and intelligence relevant to threats facing the systems, infrastructure, and resources critical to the nation. This position is pending contract award.


    Title of Position: Threat Analyst (DCO)


    Description of Position:

    • Provide intelligence support for contingency operations, battle staff and operational-level planning, joint and multilateral training exercises, and strategic engagement policy throughout the Areas of Operational Responsibility and Areas of Interest.
    • Analyze information and intelligence, and develop research studies and recommendations pertaining to potential security threats.
    • Handle requirements and collection management, as well as provide analysis and evaluation of data assessment strategies.
    • Develop and implement security standards, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Investigate computer systems to identify malicious activity.

    Normal operating core hours are Monday - Friday between 0600 and 1700, with potential flex time (rotational shift work or on-call duties). Must be available to work weekends and holidays, as required.


    Clearance Requirement:

    • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
    • T5 investigation required.
    Education and Experience Required:
    • Eight (8) to ten (10) years with a high school diploma, six (6) to eight (8) years with an associate degree, four (4) to six (6) years with a bachelor's degree, or two (2) to four (4) years with a master's degree. A certificate may count as one (1) year of experience. Degrees must be relevant to the industry. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical disciplineor related field preferred.
    • Must have solid understanding of Microsoft Windows malware
    • Must have a solid understanding of dynamic/static analysis of malware
    • Understanding of network traffic analysis
    • Experience in encryption
    • Proficient knowledge of networking protocols
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be able to document findings, create reports and document processes.
    • IT Level I (per Army AR-25-2)
    • DoD 8570.01-M required certifications: IAT Level II Baseline and IAT Level III Baseline Certification, CSSP-Analyst, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
    • CE Certification (Microsoft, Redhat, CISCO, etc. or equivalent)
    • ITIL® v3 Foundations Certified within first 3 months of hire
