  • Overview

    The Unified Capabilities Senior SME will ensure all UC Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Data and Video Teleconferencing capabilities that operate over the NIPRNet and SIPRNet enterprise network infrastructure at each post/camp/station are configured, operated, monitored, secured, and sustained. Ensuring configuration, security and connection into the enterprises are maintained. This position is pending contract award.

    Responsibilities

    Title of Position: Unified Capabilities Senior SME

      

    Description of Position:

    • Ensure the UC team provides secure and interoperable UC VoIP, Data and VTC cutting edge services.
    • Expected to provide best practices such as the IT Service Management Information Technology Infrastructure Library practices which aligns IT services with the tactical and over business needs customers and stakeholders.
    • Provide technical support, research and make recommendations for UC services, hardware, software, applications, tools, systems, or networks.
    • Review designs, build, and engineer the UC network configurations and IT Systems solutions ensuring UC security and interoperability.
    • Serve as SME for all IT systems support and troubleshooting.
    • Provide provisions for validating, prioritizing, and delivering UC requirements and solutions for execution and publishing processes through the development of Standard Operating Procedures, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures, Enterprise Transition Plans, and portal announcements, content management, website, system/database development, testing, deployments, administration, Operation and Maintenance, and operational sustainment/lifecycle management.
    • Provide and reinforces security and interoperability of all assigned UC products and capabilities to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information and business processes.
    • Ensure UC security and interoperability compliance with regulations and policies.
    • Work independently and as a UC team member and senior SME; sets priorities and organizes work to meet customer deadlines.
    • Followorganizational processes, polices, and instructions.

    Normal operating core hours are Monday - Friday between 0600 and 1700, with potential flex time (rotational shift work or on-call duties). Must be available to work weekends and holidays, as required. 

    Qualifications

    Clearance Requirement:

    • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher).
    • T3 investigation required.
    Education and Experience Required:
    • Ten (10) to twelve (12) years with a high school diploma, eight (8) to ten (10) years with an associate degree, six (6) years to eight (8) with a bachelor's degree, or four (4) to six (6) years with a master's degree. A certificate may count as one (1) year of experience. Degrees must be relevant to the industry. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
    • Ten (10) years of UC and enterprise level IT networking and Cybersecurity/Information Assurance (CS/IA) experience
    • Understand IP-based Enterprise and Cloud-based services and solutions.
    • Fully understand the customer UC certification process in-order to ensure emerging technologies and services will be able to support the information sharing needs.
    • Be a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situations.
    • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary.
    • IT Level I (per Army AR-25-2)
    • DoD 8570.01-M required certifications: IAT Level II Baseline Certification, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Voice
    • ITIL® v3 Foundations Certified within first 3 months of hire
