ProSync is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to provide software development, engineering, integration, testing support, and leadership.
Title of Position: Software Engineer Level 2
Description of Position:
The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.
Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Our customer deploys and maintains complex data processing systems at locations around the world to execute critical missions with clear, tangible, near-term results. This is a dynamic, fast paced environment requiring flexibility, mental agility, and a positive attitude in the face of technical and logistical challenges.
This program currently requires an experienced software systems engineer to develop & maintain baseline configurations incorporating COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software. Additional tasks may include developing automation scripts to facilitate rapid deployment of baseline configurations and troubleshooting conflicts and errors in deployed mission critical systems.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team with systems administrators, systems engineers, hardware engineers, and network engineers to prepare new servers for deployment, integrate and test software updates and patches to qualify them for inclusion in the baseline configurations, and maintain fielded systems consistent with the approved baseline configuration.
