    Title of Position: Deputy Program Manager


    Description of Position:

    • Assists and advises the PM, managing the day-to-day activities to ensure programs and projects meet organizational goals and requirements.
    • Implements and provides guidance related to processes and policies, oversees the work of project management staff, and prioritizes projects and programs.
    • Directs and oversees an organization's planning function to promote organizational effectiveness.
    • Mentors project leaders to improve processes, procedures, and standards based on programmatic needs.
    • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and may provide consultation on complex projects as a top level contributor/specialist.
    • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


    Education and Experience Required:

    • Requires a Master's degree in a relevant technical field and at least five (5) years of technical experience in the field or in a related technical area, or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and at least seven (7) years of technical experience in the field or in a related technical area. Relevant technical degrees include the following, while other curriculums may be considered by the Government: various engineering and science disciplines, Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Mathematics.
    • PMP or equivalent certification is required.

    Clearance Requirement:

    • U.S. Citizenship and Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
